Defining Fitness

Fitness is different for each and every person.  It is all about balance and living a healthy lifestyle.  Majority of being “fit” comes from what you eat.  What you eat comes from how well planned you are and the preparation to be successful.  It is a mindset, which you MUST take control over.  Food has become like and idol to so many.  In Judges 2:10, it talks about getting rid of idols in your life.  I believe in today’s society that food and alcohol have become a crutch people fall on when depressed or unhappy.  Don’t get me wrong, there is a time to celebrate as well – I fully believe the “Refeed or cheat meal” as some like to call it should be in a totally social and fun environment. The gym for me is a stress relief, it allows me personal time to reflect on what is going on in life.  It allows me to bur off any frustration I may have by lifting harder or increasing my heart rate above normal until the point I feel accomplished….most easily defined for me as sweating!  I love the feeling of allowing yourself to remove natural toxins from your body!  Sweat is a good thing and helps encourage a healthy aerobic system.
